We’re New York Dog Parade, New York City's premier dog parade organization and a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Community.
When our dogs interact, we interact. We are not an organization that is all, like, “Oh, dogs are so much better than people!” We believe dogs help us connect with people. Being able to connect and empathize with each other is crucial to health our well-being.
Joy.
Dogs are a simple way to add joy to almost any situation. We coordinate with other nonprofits and organizations to bring dog parades to places that need joy the most—hospitals, rehab centers, retirement homes, and more. At New York Dog Parade, we do our best to focus on the positives in others. Focusing on positives doesn’t mean we ignore the bad in the world; it just means we don’t overlook the good in it either.
Friendship.
Research indicates that people who experienced trauma or adverse childhood experiences may develop stronger attachments to animals later in life. Our parades celebrate dog and human friendship and create no-pressure opportunities for people to connect over a shared love many of us can relate to—dogs.
Creativity.
Founded by creatives, we harness innovation, originality, and (you guessed it) dogs to create meaningful, memorable, and joyful experiences for dogs and humans.
